SDG 1 – No Poverty

What is poverty?
People often imagine it as extreme hunger or homelessness. But in reality, it's much more than that

  •  A child who can’t access education because their family can’t afford it.
  • Someone who works from dawn till dusk, but still can’t cover basic needs.
  • An elderly woman forced to choose between food and medicine, because she can’t afford both.

Poverty is a trap — one that’s incredibly hard to escape. It often passes from one generation to the next, stealing opportunities.
But there is a way out

  • When people gain access to education, they can find better jobs.
  • When fair working conditions exist, people can support themselves and their families.
  • When society supports those in difficult circumstances, they have a real chance to rebuild their lives.

We can all contribute by buying from social enterprises, supporting local charities, or paying attention to those in need.
Small actions from each of us create big changes for all.
